We met Alejandro, Evangelina, Mariana, Sofia, "Alex" and Santiago while visiting friends in Mexico during our honeymoon! Over a cup of coffee at Balvanera we agreed on a safari, and a couple of months later they were here. They were looking for an adventure, and I think they got one.

We began the safari in Samburu, where we camped for three nights on the Ewaso Nyiro River, and enjoyed a regular parade of elephants past, and at times through camp. From Samburu we flew to the Laikipia Plateau for two nights at Mutamaiyu Mugie, before joining the camp again in Lake Nakuru National Park. From Nakuru they hopped again by aircraft to this time to Rusinga Island Lodge in Lake Victoria, before finishing in the Mobile Camp once again, this time in the midst of the migration in the Masai Mara. This was another great trip, made most memorable for me by the largest herds of wildebeest I have ever encountered that surrounded our camp while in the Masai Mara.
